So how do Missy Elliott and Timbaland really feel about a posthumous Aaliyah album? The dynamic duo finally weighed in during a radio interview on Monday.

No call has been made to me,” Missy told Hot 97′s Angie Martinez on Tuesday (September 18) when asked about her rumored involvement in an Aaliyah album. “I have to respect her family, and until they come and say, ‘We’re ready to do an Aaliyah album,’ then I don’t really want to come and try to get into that because that’s very sensitive.”

Missy and Tim’s bond with the fallen R&B siren is no secret, so when reports of a Drake-helmed Aaliyah LP began to surface, many fans wondered how involved Tim and Missy would be, if at all. Actually, it’s still unclear what role Drake will play: He was once rumored to be an executive producer on the project but so far, he has only appeared on a single, “Enough Said.”

It’s not records that have already done came out. We’re talking about unfinished music,” Missy explained of posthumous material on the horizon. “We don’t know what [Aaliyah's] reasoning [was] for not putting those records out; maybe she felt like they weren’t her best work.”

Timbaland admitted to Martinez that he hadn’t heard “Enough Said” in its entirety and wasn’t sure if an album is even in the works. “I think it’s blown out of proportion,” he said.

During last week’s episode of “RapFix Live,” DMX, who collaborated with Aaliyah a couple of times and even co-starred with her in the 2000 film “Romeo Must Die“, voiced his opinion to Sway about Drake’s involvement in the project.

I’m kinda feelin’ some kinda way about the fact that you been commissioned, that you been blessed, you’ve been given the opportunity to do the Aaliyah album, yet you don’t include anybody that she worked with personally,” X said, indirectly addressing Drake. “How do you just go there with it? Your balls ain’t that big, son.”
