Being mean stinks. That’s why MTV Canada has teamed up with the folks at Procter & Gamble for the Mean Stinks campaign, and spearheading the cause is our very own MTV News/1 girl 5 gays/The After Show-host Aliya-Jasmine Sovani in hopes that we can come together to do the right thing and stand up to bullying and bullies once and for all.
We’ve all been there, one minute we’re discussing the latest shenanigans on Jersey Shore, and the next minute we’re somehow talking about what so-in-so is wearing today, “that’s totally last season!“. It stinks. So let’s make a change. Next time you witness someone being bullied, step in. Say something. Do something. Or better yet, apologize to those that you have bullied, and make a promise to curb further abuse and keep schools and workplaces drama-free. Because being mean stinks.
What will your role be in ending bullying this year? Will you be the Peacemaker, the Cheerleader, or maybe the Communicator? (Take the quiz here) and know that we all have a role in keeping our spaces safe, and more importantly Stink-free!
Doesn’t it seem like the right time to step up and pledge to help make your environment safer for you, your friends and peers?
Bullying is so passée, so stand together with MTV and Procter & Gamble and the Mean Stinks campaign to tell bullies: Enough is enough!
