The drama. The tears. The relationship carousels. Were they really all, well, real? The idea that “Laguna Beach” unfolded under a script’s direction was a possibility fans couldn’t help but consider when the show was on air in the early 2000s. But now, from the horse’s mouth, comes the pure, unadulterated story. According to Stephen Colletti: Yes (pretty much)!
Stephen kindly acted as a talking head recently to help fans get a better sense of what being a televised high school student was like. In the exclusive video below, he talks about how fans are always desperate to know if the show was true to life, and this is how he answers: “Any time people’s lives are displayed on TV, and there’s cameras around, there a barrier there,” he says. “But…these people did all live in Laguna and we did all know each other.” Ha, there! Case closed (kind of).
Check out the clip, and stay tuned for input from Stephanie Pratt, Lo Bosworth and Audrina Patridge on what it was like to live in “The Hills.”
